WOD 1 ANNOUNCEMENT:
6 Min Total Cap: Both Partners will find their 2-Rep Max Hang Cluster
Standards:
– Both Athletes may have unlimited attempts
– Athletes may decrease their weight if
– Score is equal to the TOTAL weight lifted between both partners
– Weights provided will include 5,10,15,25,35,&45.
What the judges will be looking for:
– Athletes must begin with a deadlift, wait until the judge signals you to start, then you may begin your first hang cluster
– hang position may be above or below the knee
– The entire movement must be ONE continuous movement. That said, you may not pause after the squat before you press the weight.
– You may not push jerk or split jerk the weight. Judges will be watching your knees to ensure there is no double bend. This will be a standard hang cluster. Nothing fancy.
– You must lock out fully at the top, with your head through your arms. When the judge can see your ears through your arms, they will
Signal you to bring the weight down to complete your second rep.
– Squats must be BELOW parallel. The hip crease must fall below the knee.
– when you complete the first rep, you will then lower the weight again to the hang position, then continue into the second rep.
– you may not drop the bar after the first hang cluster. If you do, you will be forced to start over
– DO NOT YELL OR ARGUE WITH THE JUDGE. If you receive a no rep, it’s likely warranted. Shake it off, show control and continue the lift and have fun smile emoticon
