BarBella of the week: Diana aka Cookie Monster! Diana is such an amazing mother, woman & wife! She has such a fun personality & sweetheart. She started off in our a level 1 over a year ago & blossomed right over to our level 2 class. She is now snatching or cleaning all the weight! A great supporter in & out the gym. What we love the most is that she brings her son to the gym to watch her Throwdown. She is a role model & inspiration on how moms can be strong & beautiful too!
When did you start Crossfit?
I started in March 2014. I did not know what I was getting into. 😱 What do you love about it?
I love the community everybody is very supportive and positive. I love the physical and mental challenges that it gives me during every single workout.
Did you accomplish any fitness goals?
I never set any goals but the fact that I’m getting out of my house to go to the box that is a huge goal lol, who knows me well knows what I’m talking about. Ah! waking up at 5AM to go to the 6AM class that’s another goal. Other than that from my first box jump, rope climb, running a 5K, pull-ups, lifting weights they are all goals not set but accomplished.
What is your favorite type of workout?
I like chippers it keeps me going knowing that is certain amount of movement that needs to be done before the time cap end. EMOMs are good too. I have a hate love with the overhead squats and snatches the technique is beautiful but I’m pretty bad at them.πŸ˜” Squats are always good!
What is your life outside of the gym?
Life outside the gym is pretty quite, work and home. My Family is small 3 kids which are my husband, my son Derik, and my dog Dexter😁. They are my everything The rest of my family lives in PR.
Other hobbies?
Support the MDI family in crossfit competitions. Watch any type of shows and movies on tv, I really enjoy to spend time in the pool at home and listen to music.
